It will remain to be seen if Active Sky breaks this barrier with their release version or if that will come later. But that costs more than the FS Global Weather does. To get around that, for those who purchased FS Global Weather you can buy the Real Weather Connector which is supposed to break the 3 layer barrier. It limits the number of layers to 3 from what I've read. From the preliminaries and discussions I've seen and read on the 1.10 development it should perform better than the existing versions of 圎nviro, but that remains to be seen. To their defense they started with a premise that worked initially in XP11 but then LR changed things and 圎nviro was forced to redesign their engine from the ground up.

I've already spent my money on 圎nviro and have been very disappointed so far. I want to see from others how it compares. While I would really like to have a good weather engine I'm not going to jump on Active Sky for XP right away. So if you took what I said onboard then thats your issue, not mine. Why will I be buying in? To show support for what is to come.

Active Sky is a completely different matter. As I said, there are people that bought into an unknown company producing 圎nviro, that is still way off the mark 2 years down the line and are still trying to defend it. But as soon as AS is available in its entirety, then I'm in I wasn't talking about you, I was talking about the people saying it is all hype. I'll carry on using Xplane default clouds with FS Global Weather.

However, a couple of people have said, including me, that we'd rather wait until the full relase later in 2019 when it comes with it's own cloud textures.Ī couple of comments are suggesting we are wiping our hands of it which is far from the truth. Many of us have had it before from days of old in our FSX days before we migrated to Xplane.
